Colorimetersare sophisticated color measuring instruments that make "earthquake" measurements based on the passage of light through the three primary filters, red, green and blue, which simulate the way the human eye is sensitive to light. Tristimulus color measurements provide information about the amount of these three components present in the light reflected or transmitted by a product. This information can be transmitted to adjust the color components.

We understand by colorimetry the science or discipline that studies the measurement of colors and their perceptions, as well as the methods used for the quantification of color, or what is the same, the numerical values with which colors are measured.

Within colorimetry we find different devices that with their functionalities serve for measurement and quality control. These instruments become a crucial tool in sectors where fidelity in the production chain of colors is the basis for the business.
