Calibration equipment is used in industry to act as a reference in measuring equipment in industrial processes, where it is intended to control the process faithfully and rigorously.

Industrial processes are those in which the final product, once manufactured, cannot be separated into individual components. Examples include pharmaceutical, petrochemical, electrical or semiconductor industries. Calibrations performed in these sectors can take place on a test bench in the calibration laboratory and also in the plant or in the field. We refer to both calibration practices, bench or field, that take place in the process sectors as "process calibration".

Types of calibrators:

Process Calibrators

They are equipment that usually works by batteries and perform their work mainly in the field. Their metrological performance is usually good since they will act as the reference in the controls of the field instrumentation. They are usually lightweight, ergonomic and compact combining functionality with autonomy and robustness in a single instrument.

Process calibrators have one or more channels of inputs and outputs of electrical signals for the control of the instrumentation present in industrial processes. For example, through the UNE EN 60584 standard for thermocouples and the UNE EN 60751 for thermoresistances, it is also possible to both generate and measure these standardized signals.

Acoustic calibrator

The acoustic calibrator is a battery-powered sound source. Acoustic calibrators directly and quickly calibrate a sound level meter and other systems. Acoustic calibrator adapters allow you to connect and control 1-, 1/2-inch, and 1/4-inch microphones. Thanks to this, you can use the acoustic calibrator, for example, in quality control to check and even calibrate a sound level meter.

Loop calibrator

The loop calibrator is used to simulate 0/4 signals... 20 mA. The loop calibrator is also used to calibrate indicators, data loggers, process loggers, etc. The loop calibrator can also be used to measure the 0/4 process signal.. 20 mA and check sensors and transducers. The loop calibrator allows you to simulate active sensors (Source) and passive sensors (Sink).
Another feature of the loop calibrator is that it can provide 24 V DC for sensors to be tested in the process before commissioning. At the same time the output current of the sensor can be measured.

Thermoelement calibrator

The thermoelement calibrator is designed to simulate different types of thermoelements and mV. The thermoelement calibrator simulates the most common thermoelements, such as types K, T and S. The thermoelement calibrator has an accuracy of 0.3 ºC, which allows a thermometer to be calibrated without any problem.

Multifunction calibrator

The multifunction calibrator is a versatile instrument for measuring and simulating process signals. The multifunction calibrator measures and simulates current and voltage signals. The characteristic curves of different types of thermoelements are stored in the equipment, and make it possible to enter and display the values in ºC.
