Display means visualizer in English. A display is an electronic device that displays information.

The term display in computer science is related to the idea of making visible certain data that are useful to the user.

A screen is the space where that information is available, a space that in Spanish could be understood as "visualizer" since it is the visual portion of the elements to be known. There are many types of displayson computer devices, but undoubtedly some of them are better known and popular, for example, those that have calculators, digital clocks or business cash registers.

Display devices are very varied and can have different objectives. In a sense, this concept can be very broad and not very specific, so it is important to start delimiting its characteristics a little more. Display will always refer to the visual and external part of a device through which the data that is useful to the user is presented. This presentation can be visual (in most cases), but there are also auditory and tactile displaysdepending on the device in question. Items such as printers, projectors and plotters are other common examples of devices that have displaydevices.

Although in its early days display devices were very primitive in terms of design and communication possibilities, today there are great advances that make the information provided on the screen or display device very sophisticated and in some cases seem even three-dimensional. Many times, however, display devices have errors or failures that have to do with access to energy and that result in the null disposition of information or the arrangement of it in faint colors. When talking about display in the sense of the possibility of a program instead of a device, in general, the options of color, size, style and shapes are much more varied.

In order to transmit and interpret data, direct interaction is necessary so that at a certain distance the phases in which a process is located can be recognized, in addition to evaluating the modifiable parameters. For this, there is a very complete range of displayelectronics, usually digital, with high visibility LEDs in different formats depending on the importance of the data processed.
