An industrial weighing scale is an instrument adapted to measure large amounts of weight. This instrument can take on different shapes and sizes, depending on what you want to weigh and where you want to weigh it.

In addition, this instrument is usually accompanied by other functionalities, to complement or complete the production process in which they are, such as product labeling, material dosing, packaging or classification.

There are many types of scales, as many as specific situations for companies are needed. Although, they can be classified according to several factors:

What the scale will weigh

Scales for trucks, for pallets or recessed are different industrial scales that depending on what they are going to weigh can be in shape and size, in one way or another.

Where the scale is located

Another variable that usually changes is where the scale is located, being the most common positions:

Desktop: Scales designed to be on surfaces that approach the height of the hands or an ideal height that is not the ground.

Ground: any typical scale that has its platform and rests on the ground, ideal when the elements to weigh can be manually climbed to a height close to the ground

Recessed: Normally they are usually embedded in the ground, and unlike the floor scales, these are integrated as a part of the floor, to facilitate the weighing of elements that are very difficult to move manually, such as pallets.

Industrial scales

This industrial balance is powered on rechargeable batteries or on the 12V adapter connected to the home network, so the flexible industrial balance can be used. Through the function that the industrial balance has to count, the heavy pieces can be added (this is very appropriate for the annual inventory). The industrial balance has ISO calibration certificates, balance accessories and of course weights to calibrate. Many models have an RS-232 interface to transfer data to the computer (cable and software is optional), so you can evaluate the data on the computer.

By sector

There are sectors where due to the characteristics of the product or the work process, a specific scale is required, which not only stands out for how it weighs but for the added functionalities it brings.

For example

In a cooperative it is not only sought to weigh the product, but also to pack and label it and indicate the net weight of the product and not the gross (that is, that the weight of the container and the product subtracts from that of the container).

That the scale marker (where the weight is shown) is expressed in a certain way to speed up the production process.

The automation of the process by dynamic weighing, that is, a conveyor belt, while transporting the product, weighs and classifies it.
