Inductive sensors use magnetic fields to measure changes in distance, while capacitive sensors, meanwhile, use electric fields to measure changes in distance. Magnetic sensors work by measuring the magnetic field around them and then using that data to calculate the location of the object. Level sensors detect when the liquid has reached a certain height or when a container is empty while fiber optics allow us to measure objects without having direct contact with them.
