SB2REP230, Repeater Model SB2REP230., SB2REP230, The SB2REP230 is a Smart Dupline repeater and isolator® powered by 115-240 WLV. It is normally used to extend the length of the Dupline bus® when the resistance of the cable and the load of the self-powered devices cause an excessive drop in voltage. The repeater regenerates the Dupline® signal voltage levels and provides an output strength of 300 mA. The Dupline bus® primary and secondary are isolated, which means that the main side will continue to operate in case of short circuit on the secondary side. As soon as the short circuit is removed, the secondary side will be operational again automatically within 10 seconds. The repeater can be connected to any point of the Dupline bus,, SB2REP230, The SB2REP230 is a Smart Dupline repeater and isolator® with 115-240 WLA power. On one side, it has an input for the Dupline bus® main one generated by the SH2MCG24 and, on the other side, it has a secondary bus output with the Dupline carrier signal® regenerated. When calculating the load and voltage drop of the cable for the Dupline bus® secondary, it is necessary to take into account that the new bus has a load capacity of 300 mA and full voltage level. If, for example, a repeater is inserted in the center of a bus line with uniform load distribution, the cable resistance and bus load will be halved for each of the two segments compared to the single line. In this way, the distance capacity increases 4 times. For more information on transmission distance calculations, see the SxWEB HW manual. It is allowed to connect several repeaters on the same Dupline bus® main, but it is not allowed to use the secondary output as the main input of another repeater (or what is the same, repeater cascades are prohibited). The main and secondary buses are galvanically isolated, which means that the main bus will continue to operate in the event of a short circuit on the secondary bus. In this way, the repeater can be used to protect an installation against short circuits. As soon as the short circuit is removed, the secondary bus will start up again automatically within 10 seconds. Note 1: Sh1DUPFT adapter is required for main bus connection. Note 2: For proper operation, the SH2MCG24 should be used as the main generator. Note 3 regarding cURus: an easily accessible disconnection device should be incorporated into the wiring of the building installation.
