The AirGate Modbus transforms traditional wired installations into flexible, long-range wireless networks using IEEE 802.15.4 technology with AES-128 encryption. Designed for harsh industrial environments, this gateway bridges Modbus RTU devices across distances up to 1,000 meters (3,280 ft) in line-of-sight conditions, eliminating costly cabling in water treatment plants, mining operations, and distributed control systems. Operating on the license-free 2.4 GHz ISM band with 15 configurable channels, the AirGate Modbus ensures reliable communication independent of corporate IT networks. Its multi-topology support (point-to-point, star, or tree configurations) adapts to complex layouts, while Master/Slave/Multi-Master modes enable seamless integration with PLCs, sensors, and meters. The rugged PA66 housing (IP20) withstands temperatures from -10°C to 70°C (14°F to 158°F), and plug-and-play USB configuration simplifies deployment with NOVUS’ DigiConfig software.
