DPC01DM23, Control Relays and Protection Control Multifunction Three-phase, Three-phase with Neutral, TRMS Models DPC01, PPC01, DPC01DM23, Three-phase or three-phase line voltage control relay with neutral for phase sequence control, phase breakage, asymmetry, tolerance, max. and min. voltage (with independent adjustments), with delay function. Measurement scale from 100 to 690 WL available from three multi-voltage relays., DPC01DM23, Definition of asymmetry. Asymmetry is an indicator of the quality of the network and is defined as the absolute value of the maximum deviation between the voltages of the network, divided by the nominal voltage of the three-phase system. The definition changes according to the voltage reference: 1) If phase-phase voltages are measured: max |∆VPH-PH| V∆NOM 2) If phase-neutral voltages are measured: max |∆VPH-N| V NOM Definition of tolerance. Tolerance is another indication of the quality of the network and is defined as the absolute value of the maximum deviation of the mains voltages from the nominal voltage, divided by the nominal voltage of the three-phase system. The definition changes according to the voltage reference: 1) If phase-phase voltages are measured: max | V∆NOM - HPV-PH| V∆NOM 2) If phase-neutral voltages are measured: max | V NOM - HPV-N| V NOM Connected to the 3 phases (and neutral) the DPC01 and PPC01 relays connect when all 3 phases are present at the same time and the phase sequence is correct. It is possible to decide whether to control the max level and min. voltage level of each phase or its asymmetry and tolerance. In any case, if the phase-neutral measurement is selected, both phase-phase voltages and phase-neutral stresses shall be controlled. Voltage level control: If one or more phase-phase or phase-neutral voltages exceed the selected max level or fall below the selected min level, the red LED starts flashing at 2 Hz and the corresponding relay output disconnects after the set delay period. Asymmetry and tolerance control: if one of the phases exceeds the adjusted level, the red LED starts flashing at 2 Hz and the corresponding output relay fires after the adjusted delay period. NOTE: If the phase sequence is correct or a phase loss occurs, the output relay disconnects immediately after the 200 ms delay period. The fault will be indicated by the red LED flashing at 5 Hz during the alarm condition Example 1 (network control - max. and min. phase voltage level) The relay controls the max and min phase-phase voltage level, phase breakage and the correct phase sequence of phases. Example 2 (Control of starting loads and operation of motors - asymmetry and phase-neutral tolerance) The DPC01 and PPC01 relays ensure correct operating conditions. They control the voltage level, the sequence of phases (the correct direction of rotation of the motor) and the asymmetry. The most frequent failures are the breakage of fuses and the incorrect level of tension. In the case of broken fuses, the motor regenerates a voltage in the interrupted phase. These relays detect the fault and react to any excessive imbalance between the phases.
