When applying the supply voltage, the relay is put in the star position (pin 16) and the time period begins in the star position. After the adjusted time period, the relay returns to the neutral central position and the delay established between star position and triangle position begins. After this period (adjustable between 50 and 130 ms), the relay goes to the triangle position (pin 18) and remains in this position until the supply voltage is interrupted by at least 200 ms. If before the end of the star time period the supply voltage is cut for at least 200 ms, the relay will not operate, the time circuit will be set to zero, and the relay will be ready to start a new period.
