DigiGate Profibus (Gateway Profibus DP / Modbus RTU) The DigiGate Profibus is a rugged DIN-rail mounted gateway that bridges modern Profibus DP networks with legacy Modbus RTU/ASCII devices, enabling seamless bidirectional communication without hardware modifications. Acting as a Profibus DP Slave and Modbus RTU Master, it allows Siemens PLCs and other Profibus controllers to access data from Modbus sensors, meters, and actuators across baud rates from 9.6kbps to 12Mbps (Profibus) and 1200-115200bps (Modbus). With 1000V isolation between interfaces and configurable address mapping via DigiConfig software, this gateway simplifies SCADA integrations, process control upgrades, and industrial IoT deployments in electrically noisy environments. The included GSD file ensures plug-and-play compatibility with Profibus DP masters, while diagnostic LEDs provide real-time network status monitoring.
