Torchymeters
The crometer is an element used to measure the tension in nuts and screws in which a specific tension is important. They are designed and assembled by a type of tube wrench and an internal system that is responsible for initiating the torque reading. It is important to note that the torchymeter is widely used in workshops and industries.
The field of application of the torchymeter is very varied. The handheld torometer is mainly used in industry. The main field of application for the tabletop torometer is for laboratories.
This tool is ideal for jobs in which high precision is needed and thus exert the necessary torque on certain parts such as screws, nuts etc. Mainly used are equipment that handles gases or liquids at low pressure, air conditioning, large structures, pipes, assembly of household appliances, electronic and electrical equipment, as well as internal combustion engines and automotive industry.
There are different types of torometers with different characteristics to make adjustments of parts. Meet some of them below.
Torque multiplier: It is characterized by being a device that increases the force applied by a person.
Electronic torchymeter: It has different applications, however its main feature is its superior degree of precision.
Cover torque meter: Measures torque analogously by means of a cover as its name implies, favoring a fast and accurate reading.
Thunder meter: To use this kind of tool, you must adjust the torque you need before performing the operation.
Pre-adjusted torque meter:It is used in production lines that need a certain torque, since being pre-adjusted it is easier to perform repetitive tasks.
How to use a torometer?
Using a torque meter is as easy as using a manual key. Firmly grasp this instrument from the handle.
It is necessary to take into account what is the measure of torque that must be adapted to the piece to be worked. For this reason, it is important to look in the description manual left by the manufacturer.
When it has already been determined, graduate this instrument in order to give the exact value to the screw or nut and in this way, the adjustment will be appropriate.
It can also be used as a wrench to tighten a nut or screw and this will indicate when the correct point has been reached. In the case of some crometers,it will warn an alarm or other signal.
It is not recommended to use the torometer if the screws or nuts are in poor condition.
It should not be hit, being careful in its use will always ensure maximum accuracy.
The size of the assembly must be clear. And take into account the frequency of use that will be given to this tool, because if it is to use it next, it is advisable to choose a durable and very resistant one.
The unit of measurement of torque is the newton meter, its symbol N·m, and sometimes newton-meter. In other countries the unit of measurement in standing pound force equivalent to 1.35 Newton is also handled.
